The service we provide on your new vehicle DOESN'T affect your new car warranty with the dealership.  (for any new car warranty claims the car needs to go to the dealer for the warranty repair).

Yes. In fact, we offer pick-up and drop-off service should you require it. At the time of booking your service you will be asked if you require pick-up and drop-off and it will be scheduled based on your preference.

Keeping your vehicle's engine in peak running performance is important but does not need doing as often as it used to. Very few vehicles use the old style copper core spark plug that last about 60,000 km. Most vehicles use Platinum, double Platinum 120,000km, Iridium 160,000 km or Laser Iridium spark plugs with 220,000 km service intervals. At Essential Auto Service a Tune-Up consists of;

• Replacing Spark Plugs
• Replacing Ignition wires if applicable
• Replacing the air filter
• Replacing the fuel filter where applicable
• A Throttle Body Service, cleaning the throttle plate and idle passages if applicable
• Adding an industrial strength fuel system cleaner to the fuel tank
• Setting all tire pressures

We also offer an induction service to be performed before a Tune-Up which consists of a mixture of two very powerful chemicals that are sprayed into the engines intake system under high pressure while the engine is running. These chemicals remove all the carbon build up inside the intake manifold, valves, combustion chambers and pistons. Then the products enter the catalytic converter where they burn off the build up of contamination inside the catalyst and help bring it back to peak operating condition.

Replacing the engines Timing Belt is very important in preventing serious engine damage due to belt failure. Almost all vehicles require the Timing belt to be changed at 160,000 km service intervals. Because of these extended service intervals we recommend installing complete Timing Belt kits which include the timing belt, water pump, idler bearings, tension bearing, hydraulic tensioner, camshaft seals and crank shaft seal where applicable. All the components of the timing belt kits are warranted for the service interval of the belt which protects you against having to do the job at a later date because of failure from another component such as a leaking water pump.
