Keeping the fluids clean from dirt and moisture in todays cars is more important than ever before. Components
are smaller and lighter to save manufacturing costs and help with fuel economy. The fluids are subjected to more heat
and prone to viscosity break down, component failure and expensive repairs.
At Essential Auto Service we have the proper equiptment for servicing all of the fluids on your vehicle. We use a wide
range of synthetic fluids to meet or exceed your manufactures specifications and warranty.
POWER STEERING SERVICE
The power steering system runs the highest pressures of any system on your car in excess of 2500 psi. This small
closed system runs very hot and when the fluid breaks down very expensinve repairs to the steering rack and pump can
occur. When we flush the power steering system we use a chemical cleaner to safely remove deposits trapped inside the
valves of the pump and rack assembly. Then we flush the system with full synthetic fluid until it is completely clean. We
recommend this service every 4 years or 80 000 km.
TRANSMISSION FLUID FLUSHING
The transmission fluid provides cooling, lubrication and the hydraulic pressure to drive your vehicle. We recommend
flushing your transmission every 100,000 km. We use a chemical cleaner to disolve the varnish build up and dirt
depositis from the extreme heat and pressures inside the transmission. We disconnect the the transmission cooler lines
and hook up a flushing machine which exchanges ALL the fluid from the transmission, clutches, valve body and torque
converter. We use the highest quality full synthetic fluid that meets and exceeds the manufactures recommendations.
Where applicable we also recommend removing the transmission pan and replacing the internal filter inside the

HYDRAULIC BRAKE SYSTEM FLUSH
The brake fluid in your vehicle is often over looked but is very important. It is a highly refined mineral oil which absorbs
moisture from the air over time and cause corrosion inside the braking system. Moisture can boil out as the brakes get
hot from repeated braking and cause the brake pedal to fade or feel spongey. We use a vacuum bleeding system to
completely exchange all the fluid from the brake master cylinder, lines, ABS system, and brake calipers leaving your
cars brake system free from moisture contamination. We recommend this service every 3 years or 60,000 km to prevent
expensive repairs such as leaking internal seals or components seizing up.
